The last few months have been so fun and full of adventure for Christian and I. Besides being incredibly busy with life, school, and work, we have also been busy being a family and watching Christian grow up.
I have started an article in the local paper that advocates disability and those who have one. My main goal is to educate others so that Christian can grow up in a world where he is treated equally and not judged by his disability, but by his heart. It has had an incredible reaction so far and I am excited to continue to share life and teach others about something that is so close to my heart.
We also stay busy with Tennessee Early Intervention Systems and Special Kids physical therapy. Because of Christian's disabilities, he is prone to be behind on his development. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with Christian. It is to be expected with any child with visual impairments. TEIS visits us twice a month to check up on Christian, find out any concerns I might have, bring toys, and help me figure out ways to help Christian develop as best he can. We go to Special Kids Inc. every Tuesday to visit Christian's physical therapist, Jill. She works wonders with helping Christian develop correctly. He hates mostly every minute of it, but it is so good for him, that I am not going to stop her! :)
